To keep you safe from replacing blown fuses, Merlyn Home UPS has a Resettable Circuit Breaker. Whenever there is a trip in the circuit or a short circuit, this button gets activate automatically and after turning off the faulty appliance you can simply press the resettable switch in the back panel of the UPS to bring it back to its normal working position.
This Super Inverter carries multiple switches for giving you the options to select as per your preferred settings.
The 1st switch is for selecting between high charging and standard charging mode. In areas where there are longer duration power cuts (or high AH batteries like 200AH and above are used), the High Charging mode will quickly charge the battery. This feature is a lifesaver for all the rural parts of the country where grid power is especially low. For areas where power availability is normal (or low AH batteries like 150AH or below are used), the standard charging mode should be selected.
The 2nd switch is for selecting between the UPS or IT mode which operates between 180V to 260V or the Inverter or Normal mode which operates between 90V to 300V. As we know that IT loads are sensitive to voltage fluctuations, so by switching to IT/UPS mode, Merlyn protects these sensitive products from the high & low voltages and they work without restarting.
And the 3rd switch is to select the battery type you choose to connect with the Merlyn Home UPS, i.e. TUBULAR or LOCAL/FLAT PLATE BATTERY... This is an important feature as it allows you to use any type of battery you want to with the Merlyn Home UPS. To get the best use of 5 stage algorithm charging, select the slide switch as per your battery type.
Merlyn comes in both Digital & Sine wave technologies. It has 4 models in each technology. Single battery or 12-volt models are MERLYN 850, MERLYN 1050 & MERLYN 1250 & in double battery or 24 volts the model is MERLYN 1850.
